"Katia? Katia, are you ok?" Officer Patrick Duncan asked Katia as he watched the color drain from the pretty pale face of the young woman he had been dating off and on for a year and a half. It was the fact that they were dating that gave Katia access to some evidence that she technically wasn't suppose to have access to, evidence that had made or broken more than a few cases.

"I'm all right, Patrick. This just, reminded me of something, that is all. Would you like to go get a coffee with me? We could slide on out of the office before the rest of your buddies arrive. I think we could both use the caffeine, and I wanted to catch up with you and see how life has been treating you, and that sort of thing."

"That sounds good, Katia. Lets go to the Diner and get a cup of Irma's delicious fresh fresh brewed coffee and donuts. We can catch up with each other and discss more of the particulars of this case. I'll drive." Patrick replied as he slid his hand over Katia's, giving more than a slight indication of what was on his mind.
