The days of online role playing chatrooms being readily available are gone, and I ache nostalgic for real time role playing games played in Chat Rooms, such as the ones that used to be prevalent on Yahoo Chat and other places, back in the day. Just saying that should give you an idea as to my age.
I am constantly on the look out for good, quality, Chat Room Based role playing. I like the atmosphere in such games to be relaxed, but not too relaxed. A serious plot and engaging storyline and arc for character growth is absolutely essential to every good game.

I am into all kinds of role playing, especially fantasy and supernatural. I am not so big on Science Fiction, so do not expect me to be interested in your Star Trek or Star Wars Game. It's just not my thing.
